A Worthington’s slate advertising sign, measuring 11 x 20 inches. The rectangular black slate ground features incised and gilded lettering reading ‘Worthington In Bottle’. An inset ceramic plaque to the upper section displays the royal coat of arms with the wording ‘Brewers by Appointment to His Majesty the King’, the brewery’s dagger trademark shield, and ‘India Pale Ale Burton on Trent’. The sign is fitted with metal mounting brackets to the top and bottom secured with brass screws.
