A trio of two-gallon petrol cans representing major British fuel companies. The first can features an embossed pecten logo to the front panel and is fitted with a brass filler cap embossed Shell. The second can is embossed Shell Motor Spirit to the front and carries a corresponding Shell embossed brass cap. The third can is embossed Shell-Mex Ltd above a shell logo containing the BP initials, with the top surface stamped Petroleum Spirit Highly Inflammable. This can features a handle embossed for Scottish Oils and Shell-Mex Ltd Glasgow London and is fitted with a period replacement Pratts brass filler cap. Patches of original red and dark blue paint remain visible across the group.
