An Allsopp’s Light Dinner Ale advertising tablet featuring a large scale lithographed reproduction of the bottle label. The central design incorporates the iconic red hand trade mark rendered with horizontal hatching, set against a split red and yellow ground. A central black horizontal band contains facsimile signatures for Samuel Allsopp and Allsopp and Sons Limited. The piece is housed within a heavy circular embossed brass frame, detailed with S. ALLSOPP and SONS LIMITED to the top and BURTON-ON-TRENT to the base. The reverse retains its original pine wood backing board and a partially complete paper property notice printed by Waterlow and Sons Limited, London Wall.
