An illuminated police vehicle roof sign of a type used on emergency vehicles, featuring a black moulded housing with an angled front face. The front panel displays the word ‘POLICE’ in white block lettering against a dark ground. Mounted to the top is a single blue translucent beacon with a black base. A metal identification plaque is present, marked ‘Supplied by Radiotelecommunications (Police Equipment & Security Div) Blackpool. England.’ and the beacon base features further ‘England’ marking. The unit has been adapted for display use with a modern wiring loom including a UK 3-pin plug, power adapter, and a white plastic control box with two independent switches for the light box and beacon. Approximately 40-50 cm in width.
