A Boyce Moto Meter Gem Model radiator temperature indicator manufactured under licence by The Benjamin Electric Ltd., London. The circular chrome plated housing features a black dial with gold lettering to the front, with a glass viewing window to the reverse displaying the thermometer tube against a scale marked for summer, average, and cool motor operating temperatures. The instrument is complete with its original pictorial yellow and black cardboard box and a printed instruction booklet titled The Boyce Moto Meter and Benjamin Radiator Shutter. The housing is fitted with a threaded mounting stem and fixing nuts.
Instrument measures 120mm in length with a 55mm diameter head. Box measures 130mm x 65mm x 35mm.
